Who We're Looking For
This opportunity is for a Project Manager 6 - 10 years of experience with 2+ years post registration with experience in Traffic Design and managing traffic projects for FDOT. This position requires an organized leader who is invested in developing their team and promoting Protean to our clients and business partners through strong business relationships and partnering.
Our Traffic Systems Group is based in downtown Orlando, FL, but this position can also be based in our Tallahassee or Punta Gorda offices.

What You'll Be Doing
In a nutshell, you'll be managing traffic projects and directing and developing internal staff while promoting Protean's team experience and capabilities during project pursuits. You'll have a strong team of designers, engineers and senior project managers to support your projects and your career.
What You Need To Bring
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of post registration experience with FDOT
- Experience as a FDOT Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager
- Traffic Systems design experience ; ITS experience is a plus
- Proficient in MicroStation/ORD
- The natural inclination to take initiative
- The desire and confidence to become a key contributor
- Solid communication skills

We offer both short-term and long-term disability benefits to our employees to support them if they cannot work due to an illness or injury and even longer if they are not able to return to work due to a disability. Flexible Spending Accounts
We offer both a healthcare flexible spending account and a dependent care flexible spending account to give employees the ability to pay for these eligible expenses with pre-tax money to help them save money.
Voluntary Benefit Plans
Principal provides a variety of benefit plans that provide supplemental coverage to help with unexpected expenses due to an illness or accident. These plans are different from health insurance, which pays for medical bills. These plans pay cash benefits directly to the policyholder to use as they wish if they are hurt, or ill or hospitalized.

Professional Licenses & Memberships
Protean reimburses the full cost of their required PE licensing renewals every two years including continuing education fees. We will also pay the membership fees for us to two professional groups where employees choose engaged members.
