Marketing Group Manager
OVERVIEW
The Marketing Group Manager is directly responsible for managing company-wide marketing service line operations. These operations include all items related to marketing service line staffing needs, budgeting, and quality control. Additionally, the Marketing Group Manager must develop and oversee the implementation of all regional annual marketing plans.
What You'll Be Doing
Protean’s marketing group produces quality work for state and municipal transportation clients throughout Florida. The Marketing Group Manager supports the following efforts, while working in a fast-paced team environment:
▶ Organize, plan, monitor, train and support all activities related to securing new work
▶ Oversee compliance and quality of marketing submittals
▶ Lead go/no-go process to ensure pursuits align with the firm’s annual and strategic plan
▶ Understand the requirements and special circumstances of every pursuit
▶ Support development of LORs, ELORs, proposals, and/or qualifications, providing theme/messaging and content
▶ Manage shortlist presentations with on-target messaging
▶ Contribute to strategic decisions related to pursuits, content, and teaming arrangements
▶ Manage the firm’s pipeline within Deltek Vantagepoint and PlanView
▶ Update and maintain the backend of CRM (Deltek Vantagepoint) and content management systems
▶ Attend debrief meetings to gain valuable insight directly from the technical review committee
▶ Monitor marketing and business development metrics and analyze the effectiveness of efforts, including hit rate, ROI, KPIs, etc., and report on them monthly (broad, to all staff) and quarterly (detailed, board of directors
▶ Provide strategy and oversee management and implementation of marketing activities to ensure goals are accomplished and deadlines are met
▶ Develop an annual marketing plan and budget based on goals, objectives, strategies, action plans, and schedules developed by the leadership team and informed by market research
▶ Manage the marketing budget
▶ Develop an annual capture plan incorporating specific goals, objectives, strategies, action plans, and schedules for each region in conjunction with regional Client Service Liaison (CSL) and Assistant CSL
▶ Analyze research data related to clients; competitors; past, current, and prospective markets; and relevant corporate experience
▶ Primary point person to oversee client satisfaction program, in conjunction with the regional CSL and project manager(s)
▶ Develop, monitor, and fine-tune methods for measuring client feedback experience
▶ Serve as a trusted adviser and source of credible information to foster/build client relations with existing and new clients
▶ Represent the firm at the highest level to clients, peer organizations, and business associates
▶ Direct, develop, conduct, or outsource targeted marketing/business development-related workshops/training for marketing and technical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred
- 6+ years of marketing experience in the transportation sector of A|E|C industry specifically with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
- Thorough knowledge of marketing principals, including SMPS's 6-domains of practice
- Excellent interpersonal relationship, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Bluebeam. Competent in Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator experience a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of CRM database management experience required; Deltek Vantage Point experience a plus
- Ability to create and maintain a climate that attracts, retains, and motivates top-quality personnel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple deadline-driven activities simultaneously
- Able to see the big picture of the pursuit, annual plan, and future of the firm.
- Works well under pressure, keeping composure and fostering a team atmosphere
- Excellent time-management skills; able to prioritize activities
- Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) a plus
