Traffic Designer/Project Manager

Today we are hiring an experienced Traffic Designer Engineer/Project Manager with FDOT experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directly involved in the design and production of traffic projects including signing/pavement markings, signalization, lighting, and ITS
• Direct technicians and engineers responsible for task production
• Manage tasks and schedules
• Support marketing efforts
• Develop client relationships
• Train and develop technicians and engineers
• Review production work


Job Type: Full-time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S.C.E. or B.S.E.E.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Florida - 3 years post registration
  • 7+ years of Traffic Design experience, preferably with FDOT
  • Project Management experience
  • Microstation/Geopak proficiency
  • Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills
  • Strong Analytical & Technical Writing Skills
  • Ability to organize projects and tasks to stay on schedule

Medical Insurance

Health Savings Account (HSA)

One of our medical plans offers an HSA and it is generously funded by Protean. The company deposits 75% of the annual medical deductible into the employee's HSA so that money can be used to help pay for out-of-pocket medical, dental, and vision expenses. It’s free money for things like prescriptions, doctor visits, and new glasses++. This account belongs to the employee, and it rolls over every year. Many of our long-term employees have hefty HSA balances that they can continue to use throughout their lives.

Vision

See clear and look sharp with our vision plan. It includes annual eye exams and covers the cost of frames, lenses, or contact lenses. Oh and did we mention we pay 100% of this premium too?

Dental

We smile a lot around here and we know dental health plays a big role in our overall health. With our dental plan, you can go to any dentist or select a network of dentists for even higher benefits. We pay 100% of your premiums here as well.

Retirement Savings

Someday we all hope to be sitting on a beach, listening to Jimmy Buffet and we want to help you get there. We’ll match your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 3% of your annual salary. But wait, there’s more! You can receive another 50% match for the next 2% you contribute for a total of 4%. You’re also 100% vested starting on your first day, which means your contributions and the company’s match belong to you from day one.

Time Off

We all need time away from work to be our best. Our Paid Time Off (PTO) program gives you freedom to use your time as you prefer. We also provide for military leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave.

As our Engineering Interns (EIs) get ready to sit for their PE licenses, we want them to concentrate on studying so we cover the cost of the exam. To help them hedge their bets, we will help pay for a prep course too. Once they pass, all newly minted PEs get a $5,000 pay increase.
