Who We're Looking For
We are hiring 2 - 3 project engineer interns (EI) who have graduated within the last 4 years and are currently working in transportation design. Experience in either highway or traffic design is welcome. Extra consideration will be giving to candidates with ITS and drainage experience as well as those who have already worked with MicroStation (ORD).

Our Corporate offices are in downtown Orlando, FL, but this position can also be based in our Tallahassee, FL or Punta Gorda, FL offices.
We look for natural problem solvers who are curious, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

What You'll Be Doing
In a nutshell, you will be working closely with Project Managers and task leaders to design and create plan sets for our client projects. You will be learning from experienced project managers to hone your design skills and build on your education as you prepare to take the PE. You'll have a strong team of designers, engineers and project managers to support your projects and your career.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • License: Engineering Intern (EI)
  • Microstation (ORD) experience is a plus (not required)
  • Drainage experience is a plus (not required)

Flexible Spending Accounts

We offer both a healthcare flexible spending account and a dependent care flexible spending account to give employees the ability to pay for these expenses with pre-tax money which provides an annual cost savings.

Voluntary AFLAC Benefit Plans

AFLAC provides a variety of benefit plans that provide supplemental coverage to help with unexpected expenses due to an illness or accident. Aflac is different from health insurance, which pays for medical bills, while Aflac pays cash benefits directly to the policyholder.

401(k) Retirement Plan

Protean reimburses employees the full cost of their required licensing renewals including continuing education; up 2 professional groups. Employees sitting for the PE for the first time may also be reimbursed for the test fee + up to $500 toward a professional engineering exam review course.
